Director Strategic Business Development

Role Overview

As Director Strategic Business Development, you will be responsible for the strategic further development of Business Development for the German market, identifying new growth fields, business potential, and innovative market opportunities. You will develop and prioritize new business models, products, and services in the digital, hybrid, and stationary environment.

What You Will Do

Your tasks include analyzing market, technology, and consumer trends, translating them into relevant innovation and new business initiatives, and developing suitable KPIs and decision-making bases. You will also steer cross-functional new business and innovation projects, work closely with sales, retail, M&A, marketing, digital, IT, and e-commerce, and represent your recommendations on the executive and management level.

Requirements

• completed degree in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable field
• MBA is an advantage
• fundamental experience in strategic business development, corporate development, or new business
• proven track record in developing and successfully scaling new business models, products, services, or growth initiatives
• well-developed commercial understanding and experience in jointly developing and evaluating market potential and business cases with finance or controlling
• entrepreneurial thinking, innovation strength, and a good understanding of digital business models, technologies, and customer needs
• strategic and analytical thinking, high self-responsibility, a secure appearance on the executive level, and very good German and English skills
