Role Overview
The Manager, Marketing and Communications is a full-time employee of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA) and reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications. They are responsible for the creation and implementation of GSGLA marketing and communications efforts.
What You Will Do
Position the organization as the preeminent organization for girls and young women grades K-12 among key target audiences. Develop compelling brand and data-driven stories and consumer campaigns that resonate with target audiences.

- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

- Proficient in Adobe Experience Manager (or similar), HTML and web development/maintenance skills
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Google Analytics (or similar applications) a plus
- Excellent business acumen and broad experience/understanding of all facets of marketing and communication
- Outstanding editing, proofreading and written and oral communication skills; proficiency in copywriting
- Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines
- Demonstrated competency in leading others in a goal and action-oriented manner
- Completion of GSGLA mandatory supervisor training curriculum
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills and communications skills (both written and oral)
- Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building for the organization
- Results-oriented and a passion for creativity
- Flexibility to attend evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events
- Dedication to customer service in all interaction, understanding and experience in volunteer environment
- Effective decision making with a high level of personal integrity and professionalism
- Non-profit experience; experience in Girl Scout organization a plus
- Valid California driver’s license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance and the ability to fulfill timely and extensive travel requirements across a large geographical area
- Able to pass a criminal background check
