Title: Sales Operations Coordinator
Company: Global Power Components
Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Position Summary
Global Power Components is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Operations Coordinator to support the Sales organization and improve the flow of customer orders from initial entry through project execution. This position will initially play a key role in helping the organization work through its current order backlog, while establishing stronger processes for order entry, scheduling, tracking, and cross-functional communication. The Sales Operations Coordinator will create and maintain a master schedule connecting Sales, Estimating, and Project Management, providing improved visibility into priorities, workload, upcoming orders, and project handoffs. This is a hands-on coordination role ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information, building processes, managing multiple priorities, and working across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. GPC’s existing project roles similarly emphasize schedule management, workflow visibility, cross-functional coordination, and identifying bottlenecks in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Order Entry & Backlog Management
- Assist with reviewing and processing the existing sales order backlog.
- Enter new sales orders accurately and timely into the appropriate systems.
- Review customer purchase orders and supporting documentation for completeness prior to order entry.
- Identify missing information, discrepancies, or open items that could delay order processing.

- Provide visibility into upcoming priorities, deadlines, workload, and potential bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, and Project Management to ensure information moves efficiently between teams.
- Monitor schedule changes and communicate updates to affected stakeholders.
- Help establish consistent processes for transitioning awarded projects from Sales and Estimating into Project Management and execution.
- This complements GPC’s existing workflow in which Sales, Estimating, and Project Management work together to transition awarded projects into execution and coordinate purchase orders, schedules, and project deliverables.
Sales Operations Support
- Support the Director of Sales with reporting, scheduling, tracking, and administrative priorities.
- Maintain sales trackers, order logs, backlog reports, and other operational reporting.
- Assist with tracking outstanding customer information, approvals, purchase orders, and internal deliverables.

- Track action items and follow up with responsible team members.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, documentation, reporting, and workflow.
- Help maintain accurate and organized customer, order, and project information.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a central coordination point between Sales, Estimating, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams.
- Communicate priorities and ensure critical information is available to the appropriate teams.
- Follow up on outstanding items that may impact quoting, order entry, scheduling, or project execution.
- Help identify process gaps and workflow bottlenecks and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Participate in sales, estimating, and project meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales support, sales operations, order management, project coordination, customer service, manufacturing administration, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple departments and following up on outstanding items.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership of processes.

- Experience with Excel, Smartsheet, ERP systems, or similar scheduling/tracking tools.
