The External Communications Manager will develop and execute long-term external communications plans to inform and educate customers, partners, and employees about Google Cloud’s products, company culture, and public policy issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or internal and executive communications with technology products or services
  • Experience in influencing across different teams, effectively aligning resources and direction to execute high-impact narratives
  • Experience managing external public relation agencies, including defining clear campaign objectives and tracking measurable impact
  • Experience working with engineering and product leaders to elevate their external presence
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with media, developers, and industry opinion leaders
