Data Scientist, Consultant (Utilities)

Role Overview

The role involves performing data analysis and developing analytical solutions using tools such as Python, R, Snowflake, SQL, Databricks, Power BI, GIS, and other modern analytics platforms to address complex client business challenges. The candidate will partner with utility clients and Guidehouse subject matter experts to define business objectives, analytical approaches, technical requirements, and actionable recommendations.

What You Will Do

The candidate will design, develop, test, and implement data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support utility clients’ business objectives. They will translate business needs into scalable analytical workflows, data products, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
• ONE (1) or more years of professional experience applying data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems
• Experience with analytical and data management tools such as Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, or similar technologies
• Experience working with large and complex datasets and developing analytical solutions from concept through implementation
