Financial Operations Lead

Role Overview

The Financial Operations Lead will build and mature an enterprise-wide FinOps capability across commercial software, SaaS, and digital product portfolio. The role requires establishing operating models, governance, reporting, and accountability mechanisms for effective cloud financial management.

The Financial Operations Lead will drive greater cost transparency, forecasting accuracy, and optimization while embedding cost-aware decision-making into product development, architecture, delivery, and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, technology finance, cloud operations, or IT financial governance
• Hands-on experience managing cloud spend, budgeting, forecasting, allocation models, and optimization initiatives across AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud economics, including rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, committed-use discounts, storage optimization, and licensing models
• Proven ability to translate financial and usage data into executive insights and influence stakeholders across technical and business functions
• Strong communication, governance, and leadership skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
