Specialist Data Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

The role combines data engineering with a strong analytical focus, requiring someone who can investigate data issues, perform reconciliation and testing, identify root causes, and deliver trusted data solutions.

What You Will Do

Design, develop and optimise complex data pipelines and transformation frameworks using SQL, DBT and cloud-native technologies. Lead the development of scalable, high-quality data products that support multiple business domains and operational environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering, including working with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, DBT, Airflow, NOSQL, Spark, Terraform, GitHub and modern data engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Composer, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Dataflow and Pub/Sub.
• Deep understanding of data modelling, architecture, ETL processes, data governance and security principles.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and modern data innovation practices will be highly regarded.
