Data Scientist, APAC

Role Overview

The Data Scientist will power commercial, marketing, and finance decisions across APAC markets by building models that predict customer value, behavior, and risk. The role involves building customer lifetime value models, designing churn and conversion prediction models, and applying clustering and classification techniques to segment customers.

What You Will Do

The Data Scientist will build and maintain customer lifetime value models, design churn and conversion prediction models, apply clustering and classification techniques, and develop sentiment analysis capabilities. They will also present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders and own the end-to-end data science lifecycle.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a quantitative field, 5+ years of experience as a data scientist, and strong hands-on skills in Python, R, and SQL. They will also have experience building predictive models, working with cloud data platforms, and managing stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related)
• 5+ years’ experience as a data scientist or in a similar analytical role
• Strong hands-on skills in Python and/or R, and SQL
• Proven experience building predictive models such as LTV, churn or conversion propensity
• Practical experience with clustering, classification and other machine learning techniques
• Comfortable working with cloud data platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Snowflake)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical output into commercial insight
• Experience working across multiple markets or regions
