Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in Cologne. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing sales, trade, and market data to evaluate the effectiveness of our sales and marketing initiatives.
What You Will Do
You will create actionable reports, dashboards, and presentations for our internal teams and customers. You will also analyze promotions, campaigns, and sales actions based on relevant KPIs and make their success measurable.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You will identify trends and opportunities in the data and derive concrete recommendations for future actions. You will work closely with sales, key account management, marketing, and category management.
Requirements
- Degree in economics, business informatics, statistics, data science, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in analyzing sales, scanner, or return data – ideally from the consumer goods, trade, or FMCG sector
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with trade data sources such as NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, GfK, or retailer data
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to connect data with business connections
- Ability to explain complex analyses in a clear and concise manner
- Very good German language skills
- Good English language skills in writing and speaking
