Role Overview

The Investment Advisor, Growth Capital will participate in financial analysis, evaluation, commercial analysis, and follow-up of investment projects in equity and quasi-equity with Quebec companies in growth. The role involves working in a team on new investments and follow-up of portfolio companies, contributing to financial analysis, validation of business plan hypotheses, and financial modeling of complex investment projects.

What You Will Do

The advisor will work on new investments, follow-up of portfolio companies, financial analysis, validation of business plan hypotheses, financial modeling of complex investment projects, commercial analysis of investment targets, evaluation of expected project returns, and analysis of issues and risks.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or any other relevant discipline
  • Master’s degree in finance or an MBA
  • Professional title CPA and/or CFA and/or CBV or other
  • Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience in commercial or sectoral analysis, financial analysis, and company evaluation
  • Transactional investment experience in equity, quasi-equity, or mergers and acquisitions
  • Mastery of English language, both spoken and written
  • Advanced mastery of Excel applied to financial analysis and modeling
  • Use of AI (Copilot or equivalent) applied to analysis, research, and productivity
  • Knowledge of financial research and information tools, including Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Alphasense, and PitchBook
