Role Overview

The Sales Manager serves as the business manager for their perspective plant, responsible for revenue generation in plant sales and key accounts within a geographic area or market. They work with the plant scheduler to sell excess product, coordinate with the Sales Director on long-term sales strategy, and maintain knowledge of the markets operated in along with a deep understanding of market trends.

What You Will Do

The Sales Manager will direct the flow of information for sale activities and transactions, evaluate data to ensure area goals are met, and handle customer issues/complaints. They will also ensure sale objectives are met within company strategies, maintain coordination with integral company functions, and identify unprofitable processes and products through gap analysis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to travel when requested, and 2+ years of experience in food required, poultry preferred. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Pilgrim’s experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in food required, poultry preferred
  • Ability to travel when requested
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
