Role Overview
This is a business development role focused on identifying and developing acquisition opportunities within the software and payments sectors across Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. You’ll build relationships with founders, business owners, shareholders, and senior executives at software companies that fit defined investment criteria. The role combines market research, outbound prospecting, relationship development, pipeline management, and strategic business development.
What You Will Do
You’ll conduct market research, develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified acquisition prospects, engage business owners and executives, manage outbound business development activities, nurture leads, and expand the deal pipeline through industry conferences and other business development channels.

Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or a related commercial role
- Demonstrated success with cold calling, outbound prospecting, relationship development, and structured sales or business development processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience developing and nurturing long-term business relationships
- Highly self-motivated and organized
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
- Positive, entrepreneurial attitude with a strong drive for results
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism
- Strong understanding of B2B software businesses
- Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with software business metrics
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform
- Fluent English plus at least one key regional language such as Romanian, Hungarian, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian, or Greek
- A degree in business administration, business, finance, or a related discipline
