Role Overview

Kalshi is seeking a Software Engineer, Growth, to design, develop, and maintain user-facing systems and internal tools for its online platform. The role involves building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and APIs, as well as designing and operating data-driven systems for personalization, targeting, and user engagement.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include building and operating event-driven backend workflows, supporting growth experimentation, and collaborating with product management and frontend/mobile engineering to deliver features from concept through production release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
• 5 years of progressively, more responsible software development work experience
• demonstrated ability developing, testing, and maintaining production software using modern programming languages
• demonstrated ability designing, developing, and documenting service APIs
• demonstrated ability working with relational and NoSQL database systems
• demonstrated ability building, scaling, and operating high-performance backend services and distributed systems
• demonstrated ability translating ambiguous or evolving product requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans
• demonstrated ability implementing and supporting feature flags, A/B testing, or experimentation frameworks
