Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant

Role Overview

As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale Dynamics 365 F&O solutions. You will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, upgrade-friendly, and high-quality technical solutions while ensuring application stability, performance, and continuous improvement across the platform.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, customize, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions using X++ and Visual Studio. Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs, extensions, integrations, reports, batch processes, and custom components following D365 F&O best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations technical development, solution delivery, and enterprise application support.
• Strong programming experience in X++, Visual Studio-based D365 F&O development, and extension-based development practices including Chain of Command and Event Handlers.
• Proven experience developing and extending tables, forms, classes, data entities, queries, views, batch jobs, SSRS reports, and core business logic components.
• Hands-on experience with Data Management Framework (DMF), Data Entities, data migration, import/export, validation, transformation, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing integrations using OData, REST APIs, Custom Services, Business Events, and external system integrations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD pipelines, build and release management, Dynamics 365 Lifecycle Services (LCS), and deployment processes.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, production support, performance optimization, and incident management skills.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, technical documentation, code reviews, and Dynamics 365 F&O development best practices.
