Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be part of the Marketing, Data Science, and Consumer Knowledge team, responsible for maximizing reader acquisition and engagement, as well as providing the necessary information to guide decision-making. You will participate in the development and delivery of La Presse’s “Data” roadmap.

What You Will Do

You will ensure the delivery of advanced, high-value data analysis projects for the organization, design, develop, and make available data with significant impact on the company’s expenses and revenues, and deploy new data science and advanced analysis initiatives to the company’s major business units.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in computer science, data analysis, data science, mathematics, or any other relevant academic training
• Accumulate three (3) to six (6) years of relevant experience in analytics or other related positions
• Demonstrate solid organizational skills adapted to data environments (engineering, analysis, AI)
• Master specialized technologies and languages (SQL, R, Python)
• Lead by experience and example
• Show client orientation and have experience in client management
• Possess natural leadership qualities and be able to rally your team behind common objectives
• Have project management experience (an asset)
• Have a good understanding of business realities
• Master French and English (bilingualism), both orally and in writing (an asset)
