Director, FP&A

Role Overview

The Director, FP&A is responsible for overseeing and scaling the operational finance functions that support Lightspeed DMS’s growth as a dealer management SaaS company. This includes billing operations, revenue operations support, procurement, accounts payable, and expense management.

What You Will Do

Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop the Financial Operations organization, including Billing Operations, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Expense Management. Billing, AP & Expense Operations: Oversee billing operations for Lightspeed’s module-based DMS subscriptions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of financial operations, accounting operations, or revenue operations experience
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing large teams
• Strong understanding of SaaS workflows, billing, AP, and expense processes as applied to a module-based dealer subscription business
• Expertise with systems: NetSuite, Salesforce, Zone Billing, ARM, Ramp, and Workato
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Exposure to dealer, franchise, or vertical SaaS business models (e.g., Powersports, Marine, RV, Trailer, Outdoor Power Equipment) preferred
• Strong decision-making, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• Strategic thinker with strong delegation skills
• Proven experience building high-trust relationships across team members, senior leadership, dealers, and vendors
• Strong influencing, communication (written and verbal), and financial analysis skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
