Data Scientist

Role Overview

The Data Science team turns member and customer behavior into product decisions across one of the world’s largest professional networks. We design experiments, investigate metric movements, and partner with PM and Engineering to ship features that create real economic opportunity for members.

What You Will Do

You’ll be responsible for writing SQL and Python to investigate how members use the product, read and interpret A/B test results, build dashboards and analysis docs that inform real decisions, and learn the craft of experimentation on data at LinkedIn’s scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Informatics, Statistics, or related field
• 1+ year of experience in data science (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results) OR equivalent experience.
• Background in at least one programming language (e.g. R, Python, Java, Ruby, Scala/Spark or Perl)
