Role Overview
The Business / Data Analyst will produce a trusted assessment and reporting foundation for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Agile and Atlassian Cloud modernization initiatives. The role combines business process discovery, quantitative analysis, stakeholder interviews, and operational reporting to help leaders make informed decisions.
What You Will Do
The analyst will document how teams manage work today, analyze Jira Cloud usage, workflow patterns, survey responses, and interview findings, and establish a reliable inventory of teams, projects, and readiness needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, business administration, information systems, statistics, economics, or a related field
- 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s
- 3+ years of relevant business analysis, process analysis, reporting, or quantitative analysis experience
- Experience with Jira reporting, data extraction, and assessment of workflow/process use
- Strong Excel capabilities and hands-on Power BI or Tableau skills
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews, document requirements, and validate data quality
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust determination and satisfy applicable federal personnel vetting, security, privacy, accessibility, and data-handling requirements
- Atlassian ACP-120 (Jira Administration for Cloud) or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) certification
