Role Overview
The Assistant Marketing Manager role will help develop, execute, and optimize audience-led marketing strategies that deepen member engagement and support the Customers Digitally Active goals. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful marketer who can connect strategy to execution, translate complex health and insurance concepts into clear communications, and partner across teams to deliver high-quality work that moves the business forward.
What You Will Do
Develop and support marketing communications that increase John Hancock Vitality awareness, understanding, adoption, and engagement among members. Maintain day-to-day member marketing communications, manage marketing materials, and use data to evaluate campaign effectiveness.

Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of marketing experience, ideally in life insurance, financial services, health, wellness, loyalty, customer engagement, or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Experience developing and executing campaigns for customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, and/or retention marketing.
- Strong writing and messaging skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and tailor communications by audience.
- Experience using marketing automation and communications platforms, such as Marketo.
- Comfort working with data and analytics partners to measure campaign performance, identify insights, and recommend improvements.
