Data Analyst / Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking a business-facing technical Data Analyst to translate GWAM Asia needs into clear data requirements and support trusted, reusable data products. The role partners with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to enable reporting, analytics, decision-making, and selected AI use cases.

What You Will Do

Translate business needs into testable data requirements, lead or support discovery sessions, use SQL to profile and investigate data, and develop dashboards and analytical outputs.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and English communication skills are required. Experience with Power BI and one or more of Python, R, Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure Data Factory is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Analysis, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, data-focused Business Analyst, or similar role
• Strong SQL and Excel skills, with experience in requirements gathering, data mapping, profiling, reconciliation, data quality, and testing
• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for technical teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and English communication skills
