Role Overview
The Mastercard Economics Institute is looking for a Data Scientist to create clear, compelling data visualisations that communicate economic insights to diverse audiences. The role involves developing reusable functions and packages to support analysis and automation, creating and formatting analytical content using R Markdown and/or Quarto, and writing clear, well-documented code.

Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in creating data visualisations
- proficient in R or Python
- proficient in using code to clean data, transform, and aggregate data
- familiar with version control concepts and tools for collaborative development
- experience writing SQL and working with relational databases
- creative and passionate about data, coding, and technology
- strong collaborator who can work independently, prioritise across multiple projects, and work effectively with engineers, product owners, and economists
