People Operations Generalist

Role Overview

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking a Full-time People Operations Generalist to join our People Operations team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role will involve managing and supporting the full-cycle recruiting process, employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance.

What You Will Do

The People Operations Generalist will manage job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding. They will also support workforce planning, retention initiatives, internal mobility, and succession efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements. They will also have experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee relations, as well as proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
• Three to five years of progressive human resources experience
• Demonstrated experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee relations
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
• Experience advising or supporting managers with performance management, corrective action, employee complaints, and workplace investigations
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or a nonprofit environment
• Experience supporting benefits, leave administration, and other general HR functions
• Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required
