Principal Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Corporate Core Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supports Medtronic’s global planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and long-range strategic planning processes. The team partners closely with Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, and business and functional leaders across the company to provide financial insights that support enterprise decision-making and long-term value creation.

What You Will Do

As a Principal Financial Analyst, you will support global financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities through detailed analysis, financial modeling, and executive-ready reporting. You will partner with finance leaders across the organization to evaluate business performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of accounting or finance experience OR Master’s degree and 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial modeling
• Experience developing and interpreting financial analyses, business performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in a large organization
