Principal Financial Analyst – R&D Finance Center of Excellence

Role Overview

The Research & Development (R&D) Finance Center of Excellence provides financial leadership, analytics, and decision support across Medtronic’s R&D organizations. The team partners with R&D, business, and finance leaders to support investment decisions, portfolio management, resource allocation, forecasting, and long-range planning while promoting consistent financial practices and scalable capabilities across the enterprise.

What You Will Do

As a Principal Financial Analyst, you will serve as a strategic finance partner supporting R&D portfolios, programs, and enterprise initiatives. You will provide financial planning, forecasting, investment analysis, and decision support to help leaders evaluate priorities, allocate resources, and improve visibility into R&D performance and investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of finance or accounting experience OR advanced degree and 5+ years of finance or accounting experience
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis
• Experience developing financial models, scenario analyses, and long-range plans to support business decisions
• Experience partnering with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support investment or resource allocation decisions
