Head of Product Marketing

Role Overview

The Head of Product Marketing will define the company’s category narrative, positioning, and differentiated value proposition, with AI Security as a core pillar of the company’s forward-looking strategy. This role will lead Mend.io’s product marketing strategy and execution across application security, AI Security, and software supply chain security offerings.

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this role include defining and evolving Mend.io’s category narrative, shaping and refining ICP segmentation and buyer personas, driving go-to-market strategy for new product launches, and translating product capabilities into compelling business value for CISOs and security decision-makers.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience
• Strong background in cybersecurity, application security, AI Security, DevSecOps, or developer-focused SaaS
• Proven experience marketing to enterprise buyers, CISOs, security leaders, and platform engineering leaders
• Demonstrated success in scaling product marketing at a growth-stage company
• Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
• Experience developing and executing partner marketing programs across direct, channel, and technology alliance partnerships
• Understanding of AI/ML security concepts and the risks associated with AI-generated code
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
• Analytical mindset with experience leveraging market and performance data to drive strategy
• Experience with operational systems such as SFDC and Jira
• Experience working with industry analysts and influencing market perception
• Comfort with and experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, including large language models, to drive efficiency and results
