Finance Operations Risk Tech – Executive Director, Generative AI Technical Leader

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Technical Leader in Risk Technology with expertise in Generative AI technologies to provide technology leadership, drive platform modernisation, and deliver innovative, scalable solutions supporting the Firm’s risk and control framework.

What You Will Do

Provide functional delivery leadership for the Trader Mandate & Booking Model (TMBM) platform, define and drive the target-state architecture across the ISG Cross Division Governance portfolio, and lead modernization initiatives leveraging Generative AI technologies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading large-scale technology organizations within Financial Services, Capital Markets, Risk Technology, or Front Office Technology environments
• Deep expertise in modern software architecture, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise application modernization
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), vector embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures, LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks
• Proven track record of defining and executing architecture strategy while delivering complex, multi-year transformation programs
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior business and technology stakeholders, driving alignment across global organizations
• Strong leadership experience managing and developing high-performing engineering teams and technology leaders
• Experience working in highly regulated environments with a strong understanding of governance, controls, risk management, and operational resilience
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technology strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are a plus
