Director, Construction Services Business Development – Commercial Lines (Middle Market Construction Field Underwriting Director)

Nationwide is looking for a Director, Construction Services Business Development – Commercial Lines to lead a team of Territory Managers and Field Underwriters. The ideal candidate will have prior commercial underwriting experience, construction insurance expertise, and strong people leadership skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ten years of commercial line underwriting, sales, marketing, and agency management experience
• Middle market experience in commercial construction services
• Relevant professional designation such as CPCU or CIC
• Sophisticated knowledge of property/casualty insurance operations and products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to set work priorities and to initiate, evaluate, and recommend solutions to upper management
