Director, Middle Market Business Development – Commercial Lines (Middle Market Insurance Production Underwriting Director)

Nationwide’s Property and Casualty team is seeking a Director, Middle Market Business Development – Commercial Lines to lead a team of Territory Managers and Underwriters. The ideal candidate will have prior technical underwriting experience, existing broker/agency relationships, and strong leadership skills. The role requires heavy travel, and a valid driver’s license and safe driving record are necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Relevant professional designation such as CPCU or CIC
• Ten years of commercial line underwriting, sales, marketing and agency management experience
• Significant business management and people leadership experience
