Role Overview

The Financial Analyst-Financial Reporting Systems serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring effective design, governance, and ongoing optimization of financial systems. The role provides functional and finance-focused ERP system support, maintains robust documentation and controls, and partners with internal stakeholders to enhance system capabilities, reporting, and data integrity.

The position enables the timely delivery of accurate financial information, strengthens internal controls, and supports informed decision-making aligned with strategic finance objectives. Key responsibilities include providing finance-related ERP system administration support, maintaining system documentation, and partnering with internal clients and finance stakeholders to evaluate business processes and develop system-enabled solutions.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting designation – CPA
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience in financial analysis and manipulating large volumes of data
  • Knowledge of IFRS/Canadian GAAP and internal controls
  • Proven experience using Workday, iPLAN, and CDM
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Knowledge of methodologies & tools for business analysis system testing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Power Query
  • Ability to identify issues, investigate, test, determine root cause and recommend courses of action/process improvements
  • Ability to recognize when issues require escalation and follow the appropriate escalation path
  • Ability to be diplomatic, aware of sensitive information and the application of that information
  • Ability to innovate & be creative to achieve desired results
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives at the same time, adjust and re-prioritize as necessary
