Micro Market Associate, Full Time Retail Stocker

Role Overview

The Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a Micro Market Associate to perform various duties within the Micro Market and vending machines, including functionality and operation of machines, availability of products, and ensuring maintenance and upkeep of machines. The successful candidate will also sell general merchandise to customers, exercise professional selling techniques, and provide service that anticipates and exceeds customer expectations.

What You Will Do

Maintains Exchange owned machines and Micro markets daily, inspects and replenishes products, ensures dates regarding product shelf-life, and removes expired food. Greets and engages customers in conversation, assists customers in the selection of merchandise, and suggests additional items to complement customer selections.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid state driver’s license or a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely
• Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility (e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance)
• Must pass the GSA defensive driving course
