Role Overview
The Data Analyst will play a key supporting role analyzing, visualizing and reporting data for the Office of Resilient Homes and Communities. This position combines data science, spatial data analysis (GIS) with business and policy research to support reporting, decision-making, and program quality across the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Data & Reporting Support, GIS & Spatial Analysis, System Maintenance, Data Quality & Documentation, Research Assistance, and Cross-Functional Collaboration.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Public Policy, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Knowledge of public policy in areas such as disaster recovery, infrastructure, housing, economic development, and/or resiliency
- Experience distilling quantitative and qualitative policy analysis into written descriptions such as briefs, memos, etc.
- 2 years professional experience in an analytic role
- Demonstrated experience using Esri ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, Model Builder, R and basic python programming
- Excellent oral, written, and quantitative skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional ability to use data to make decisions
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Access
- Ability to work in a flexible, fast paced, mission driven environment
