Data Scientist – Search

Nextdoor is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Search team, shaping the data science behind query understanding, content retrieval, ranking, and the end-to-end search experience. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Data Science experience, direct experience working on a Search product, and a strong working knowledge of ML models and experimentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Data Science experience
• Direct experience working on a Search, recommendations, or information retrieval product
• Innate curiosity around finding meaningful insights
• Working knowledge of ML models and judgment to apply them
• Strong working knowledge of experimentation, including designing and analyzing complex product A/B testing results
• Expert knowledge of SQL and Python, including common scientific computing packages and data science tools
• Excellent communication skills
