Role Overview

The Tech III, Growth Facilities role involves demonstrating a strong commitment to Nutrien’s Safety, Health, & Environment (SH&E) program, managing assigned projects, and ensuring optimal plant growth through plant health monitoring and diagnosis.

What You Will Do

The role requires managing pest control, following quality assurance and quality control procedures, and providing general plant maintenance, including pot and soil preparation, planting, watering, thinning, staking, bagging, de-bagging, dry-down management, and harvesting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Biology, or other related field
• Working technical knowledge and experience with plant breeding strategies, trait introgression, hybrid development, and pedigree breeding in a greenhouse or growth chamber environment
• Technical knowledge and experience with plant production under controlled environments (greenhouse/growth chamber) including automation, sanitation, and troubleshooting
• Positive attitude contributing to a cross-functional team with open and honest communication
• 3+ years of extensive greenhouse experience
• Working knowledge of doubled haploids and molecular breeding
• Proficiency in relational databases, Brassica, and MS Office
• Pesticide Application certificate
