Role Overview
The role involves providing high-quality analysis of communications market data, leading pieces that shape Ofcom’s long-term thinking and strategy. The Associate will work collaboratively with other Ofcom teams and external stakeholders to deliver Ofcom’s objectives.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include managing Ofcom’s TV and radio data collection, analysing large datasets, and presenting analysis to senior internal audiences.

Requirements
- Data collection and analysis: ability to collect, quality assure, analyse and produce insights from medium-sized datasets using Microsoft Excel and preferably other software (e.g. Power BI, AI tools).
- Media industry knowledge: interest in the TV and radio industries, including knowledge of key companies and emerging market developments.
- Generating insights: use of evidence-driven methods to gather insights and make well-founded decisions based on thorough analysis.
- Executing Plans: organising tasks and setting clear goals, managing resources wisely while considering progress.
- Harmonising work: working effectively with others, creating an honest team environment and sharing valuable information and resources.
- Forming relationships: build and nurture positive relationships with people inside and outside the organisation.
- Articulating ideas: ability to express ideas, thoughts, and information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring messages are understood by everyone.
