Proposal and Enablement Manager

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Proposal and Enablement Manager to join our growing MBDC team. You’ll play a key role across two important areas of the Group’s commercial activity: managing proposals and pitches, and supporting the delivery of our Group-wide commercial enablement programme. This is a hands-on management role where you will manage team members supporting lead generation, but you’ll also be expected to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the work yourself.

What You Will Do

You’ll create, manage and coordinate proposals and pitches from the initial opportunity through to submission and follow-up. You’ll work with fee earners and MBDC colleagues to develop strong, client-focused proposals and make sure everyone knows what needs to happen and when.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We’re looking for someone who combines strong proposal and project management skills with some people management experience and a practical, hands-on approach. You’ll be organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders at once. You’ll enjoy working with people and will be comfortable supporting client facing team members and senior stakeholders, but you won’t be afraid to get stuck into the detail yourself.

Requirements

• Experience in proposals, bids, business development or a similar commercial role
• Experience managing or coordinating proposals through to submission
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to turn information into clear and persuasive client-facing content
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
• Some people management experience, with the confidence to set expectations, support performance and develop others
