Data Engineer II

Pacific Life is seeking a Data Engineer II to join their Customer Data team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves designing, building, and supporting a customer data platform on AWS, collaborating with a team to deliver reliable customer data assets, and utilizing AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related technical role;
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience;
• Hands-on experience with SQL-based data platforms, ETL/ELT development, and modern cloud or MPP data environments;
• Working knowledge of AWS, dbt, Matillion, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps;
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java;
• Ability to solve a range of straightforward technical problems using established processes
