Role Overview
The Accounting Manager, Financial Planning & Operations is responsible for financial analysis, budget development support, operational finance improvement, and selected accounting and invoicing functions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP, 2 CFR Part 200, government and donor requirements, and Peninsula Family Service policies and procedures.
What You Will Do
The Accounting Manager will support the CFO in development of the annual agency budget, program budgets, grant budgets, and budget revisions, prepare monthly and ad hoc financial analysis, and oversee cost allocation methodologies.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and Excel skills
- Experience with financial systems, data analysis, and ad hoc reporting
- Ability to interpret grant, contract, and program financial requirements
- Experience improving processes, internal controls, and operational workflows preferred
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across finance and program teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
