Data Scientist / Analyst

Role Overview

Peraton seeks a Data Scientist / Analyst to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI support. The role involves performing advanced statistical analysis, developing machine learning (ML) models, and conducting operational research to support cyber defense decision-making and threat characterization.

What You Will Do

Perform exploratory and diagnostic analyses to reveal trends and anomalies, develop and test ML models for threat detection and risk scoring, create data visualizations and analytical reports, and support data preparation, transformation, and quality assurance.

They will also have experience with data visualization and reporting, and strong statistical analysis and hypothesis testing skills.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA
• Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA
• Minimum of 3 years with Ph.D.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL
• Experience with machine learning model development and deployment
• Experience with data visualization and reporting
• Strong statistical analysis and hypothesis testing skills
• U.S. Citizenship required
• DoD TS Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $135,000 – $216,000
• Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus
