Role Overview
The Analyst II, FinOps turns multi-cloud usage and billing data into clear financial insights and measurable business outcomes. This role manages cloud cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting, commitment-based discount strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
What You Will Do
Manage and analyze cloud spend across Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud, and other providers, reconciling billing, usage, pricing, credits, and allocation data. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring reports for budget versus actuals, forecasts, cost drivers, unit economics, allocation, commitment coverage and utilization, and realized savings.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, financial analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, cloud operations, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience analyzing billing and usage across cloud platforms; working knowledge of Azure, AWS, and IBM Cloud cost-management concepts is strongly valued.
- Strong Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard design, scheduled refreshes, data quality controls, and audience-appropriate visualization.
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying, joining, transforming, and validating large financial, operational, or cloud usage datasets.
- Experience evaluating and managing cloud commitment discounts, including reservations, savings plans, or committed-use discounts, using coverage, utilization, break-even, and risk analysis.
- Experience with cloud budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost allocation, anomaly management, and tracking realized versus projected savings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple analytical or cost optimization initiatives, organize dependencies and risks, and deliver results with limited supervision.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and financial findings to engineering, finance, procurement, and leadership audiences.
