Role Overview
Purdue University’s Institutional Data Analytics + Assessment (IDA+A) office is seeking a Data Analyst to support institutional reporting, statistical analysis, and evidence-based decision-making across the University. In this role, you’ll help transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform university strategies, strengthen student communications, and support operational effectiveness.
What You Will Do
Develop, implement, and validate data queries that support targeted student communications and enrollment-related initiatives. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and moderately complex datasets that help stakeholders understand trends and make informed decisions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of experience in data extraction, processing, visualization, and analysis
- Experience working with web-based customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets
- Ability to organize and prioritize work while balancing recurring responsibilities and ad hoc requests
- Experience developing and maintaining clear process documentation
- Ability to communicate analytical findings effectively and tailor information to different audiences, including operational teams and university leadership
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
