Sr. Manager, AI Search Visibility (AEO/SEO)

Role Overview

As Sr. Manager, AI Search Visibility (AEO/SEO), you will own how Purple is found, recommended, and accurately cited when shoppers ask AI shopping assistants for a mattress, pillow, or comfort recommendation. You’ll lead Purple.com’s shift from keyword ranking to AI recommendation, making the site and product data easy for AI engines to read, building off-site authority LLMs rely on, and turning visibility into revenue across our mattresses, GelFlex Grid pillows, seat cushions, and bedding.

What You Will Do

You’ll own AI visibility strategy and measurement, machine-readable site and product data, off-site authority and citations, content built for answers, and organic search foundation and revenue. You’ll also be accountable for AI visibility and for the revenue it drives.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We’re looking for 5+ years of SEO experience, with significant Ecommerce or DTC experience. High-ticket consumer goods is a plus. You should have 1 to 2+ years of hands-on AEO/GEO work, with examples of measurably improving a brand’s visibility, citations, or share of voice in AI answers.

Requirements

• 5+ years in SEO

• 1 to 2+ years of hands-on AEO/GEO work
• Experience writing, testing, and auditing nested schema.org markup in JSON-LD for product catalogs
• Working knowledge of how AI engines find and use content
• Experience with AI visibility platforms and enterprise rank tracking
• Strong analytics skills in GA4 and Google Search Console
• Ability to turn data into clear recommendations for leadership
• Experience managing agencies with clear briefs, KPIs, and QA
• Proven ability to influence IT, Creative, PR, and paid media teams without direct authority
• Clear, concise communicator who can present to executives and the board
