Associate Engineer/Engineer, Data Engineering

Join Rakuten Viki in Singapore as an Associate Engineer/Engineer in Data Engineering, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Translate pipelines into scalable data pipelines, perform root cause analysis, and uphold data engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field
• 1-4 years of experience in Data/Backend/SRE/Platform Engineering
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts
• Self-starter and self-driven attitude with continuous learning and improvement
• Good working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
• Experience building ‘big data’ data pipelines and data sets
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, SQL and NoSQL databases, orchestration tools, and cloud experience
