Inside Sales Representative

Role Overview

The Inside Sales Representative position consists of increasing revenue through the acquisition of new accounts, suggestive selling techniques, and fostering and nurturing through professional relationships. This role will be working approximately 80% in the office and 20% out in the Yard and will cross train as a Dispatcher as well.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include answering and documenting all incoming telephone calls, performing routine rental transactions, assisting customers with selecting the appropriate type of equipment, and communicating via two-way radio with the yard and shop relative to assisting customers in loading/unloading of equipment.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience working in customer service, managing logistics, or coordinating activities, with a minimum of 2 years Inside sales experience preferred. The ideal candidate will possess sales ability, strong relationship-building skills, and knowledge of the geographical layout of the local area.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years Inside sales experience preferred
• Must possess sales ability identifying customer needs through suggestive selling or upselling, and strong relationship-building skills
• Be comfortable working with a team and independently
• Possess knowledge of the geographical layout of the local area, ability to read maps, and navigate GPS
• Strong communication skills to include active listening and assimilating information; both verbal and written
• Aptitude for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management
• Technologically capable: Microsoft Suite knowledge and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), AS 400 highly preferred!
• Ability to focus on details and complete tasks with accuracy
• Adaptability to adjust priorities and plans based on orders received
• Proficiency in basic computer and typing skills
• Be capable of collaborating with other team members
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, bilingual is a plus
• Knowledge of applicable DOT rules, regulations and laws is a plus
