Role Overview

RevolutionParts is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the technical vision for data ingestion, set engineering standards, and drive alignment across teams. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with expertise in high-volume production systems, distributed job execution systems, and message queue architectures.

What You Will Do

The Staff Data Engineer will be responsible for owning the architectural vision for data ingestion, shaping technical strategy, and taking ownership of high-severity problems in the data domain. They will also define the reliability bar for data across the organization, build monitoring and alerting frameworks, and make final technical debt decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years in data or software engineering
• at least 3 years at Staff level or equivalent owning architectural decisions
• expertise in high-volume production systems, distributed job execution systems, and message queue architectures
• experience with Python, Spark/PySpark, and AWS
• experience with Kubernetes, streaming systems, and cloud data warehouse architecture
• AI fluency and experience with modern tooling
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
