Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for financial close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, cost accounting, and the maintenance of accurate financial records. The position owns assigned accounting processes and financial statement accounts, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, balances are supported, and issues are resolved within reporting timelines.

What You Will Do

Perform assigned month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries. Prepare and maintain balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly. Perform expense reconciliation and other general accounting duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• CPA designation or active progression toward a CPA designation
• Minimum three years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience
• Demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to analyze financial information
• Manufacturing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, project accounting, budgeting, or forecasting experience is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, OneStream, Power BI, or comparable systems is an asset
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting, with working knowledge of cost and inventory accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze variances, and identify root causes
