Role Overview

SC&H is searching for a Manager to join and help grow our Data Strategy & Governance (DSG) practice. The ideal candidate combines a passion for data with a track record of leading teams in client delivery. Candidates must possess deep expertise in disciplines such as data strategy, data governance, data management, data analytics, data engineering, data sourcing, or data technologies.

What You Will Do

Work in a team-based environment through all stages of defining, delivering, and enabling functional and technical solutions for our clients to address critical business problems. Lead the definition of capabilities and build of frameworks, processes, and tools to support clients’ data strategy and governance needs.

The ideal candidate must be able to lead cross-functional teams as well as have both the ability and drive to get hands-on in design, development, and implementation work. Experience with project management methodologies and/or software delivery lifecycles is ideal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record in data analytics, computer science, business, economics, finance, management, engineering, applied math, statistics, or related fields
  • 6+ years of consulting experience in data strategy and transformation, digital transformation, data management, and/or technology implementations with relevant experience in management or leadership role
  • Ability to tackle complex problems when the path may not be clear
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey business strategy and technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and/or software delivery lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Experience translating strategy and business requirements into technical design or operational capabilities
  • Ability to manage own time effectively, organize junior member activities, and communicate work status with managers
  • Aptitude for, and enjoyment of, team leadership
  • Familiarity with data strategy, data sourcing, data governance, data management, data analytics, or data engineering concepts
  • Experience with industry-standard products and platforms such as Alation, AWS, Ataccama, Atlan, Collibra, Databricks, Immuta, Informatica, Microsoft, Monte Carlo, OneTrust, Oracle, Snowflake (certified professionals is a plus)
