Data Engineer

Role Overview

Design data models, collaborate with data integration teams, and develop data analyses to optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Work with the Growth Technology Systems team to develop and uphold data governance policies.

What You Will Do

Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Analyze and improve performance on existing data models, build and enhance SQL Server Analysis Services data models, and develop SSRS, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI reports.

Requirements

• Good business analytical skills
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, OLTP and OLAP database designs and implementation strategies
• Data Warehousing concepts, architecture & schemas
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS/DTS, Data Stage, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Cloud
• Experience in providing solutions for BI & DW environment
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience in Manufacturing sector
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
