IT Data Analyst I

Role Overview

The IT Data Analyst I supports the IT Development and Data Engineering team by querying, analyzing, and reporting on data from enterprise systems. This role builds and maintains dashboards and reports using SQL and business intelligence tools, supports data quality and documentation efforts, and responds to ad hoc data requests from business stakeholders.

The IT Data Analyst I works under the guidance of senior developers and engineers, gaining exposure to data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance practices.

Requirements

• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
• No prior professional experience required
• Foundational SQL knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server preferred; Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL helpful)
• Familiarity with at least one BI/reporting tool (Power BI, Report Builder, or Tableau)
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, ETL processes) preferred but not required
• Experience in telecommunications or technology industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
