Role Overview
Smiths Detection is seeking a commercially minded Financial Analyst to join their ANZ Finance team, providing financial insights to support informed decision-making and profitable growth across Australia and New Zealand.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will prepare financial analysis and reporting, analyze revenue and margins, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Full professional membership with CPA or CA
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modelling or Commercial Finance
- Strong experience supporting budgets, forecasts, business cases and project financial analysis
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with SAP and related reporting tools
- Experience working within IFRS and AASB reporting environments
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, chart of accounts and financial controls
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with SAP, SmartView, Onyx, CPM or similar financial planning/reporting systems
- Ability to build robust financial models and perform detailed variance analysis
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
