Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Data Analyst will provide data insights, analytics, and reporting across projects and change initiatives within the Project Management Office (PMO) for Personal and Private Banking South Africa (PPBSA).

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting project and change data, developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, consolidating and validating data, and maintaining and enhancing PMO reporting tools and platforms.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, project analytics, or a related analytical environment, with hands-on experience using Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business/Commerce or another relevant analytical or quantitative field
• 2-3 years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, project analytics or a related analytical environment
• Hands-on experience using Power BI, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with multiple data sources, including extracting, cleaning, transforming, validating, and consolidating data
• Experience translating data into clear insights, trends, and recommendations
• Exposure to Python, artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, or modern cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake
